School of Wild Listening: Open Call Listening Group

The School of Wild Listening is hosting a summer open call listening group for all the wild listeners out there.

You can come to this event either to present your work or to listen in as an audience member. If you would like to present please read on. If you would like to come and listen, then just come along on Tuesday 28th!

This open call is for anybody who would like to share insights of the wild world around us through sound.

Whether you’re a total beginner or a professional, it is an opportunity to share field recordings/soundscape compositions/ecological sound art or music of any kind and get to know each other and our ideas in a casual and open listening group.

You can submit any length of work/recording for presentation – from a 2 minute field recording taken in your back garden or a 15 minute soundscape composition you’ve been working on. Everything is welcome and we’ll try our best to accommodate everybody who submits.

When is it? Tuesday 28th July at 8pm (Doors 7:30pm) at Kirkos, Little Green Street, Dublin.

Please only submit work to this call if you will be present for the listening group on Tuesday 28th, at Kirkos.

You are welcome to make multiple submissions and it is also open to those who have submitted to our previous open calls.
