Access Budget: Available\n\n____\n\n\nABOUT THE AWARDS\n\nThe purpose of t
he awards is to support the research and development of new\,\nambitious a
nd critical work that resonates with the themes of the We Only Want\nthe E
arth Programme.\n\nThis award will support two visual artists to research
and develop a body of\nwork at the A4 Sounds Studios and to help them furt
her develop their artistic\npractice. \n\nThe award will provide the selec
ted artists with material support and an\nopportunity to work collaborativ
ely with the curatorial team to develop their\nideas and skills\, experime
nt with materials and approaches in making new work\,\nand to deepen their
understanding and approach to their practice.\n\nPlease note: the artist
is free to work on any topic of their choosing\; there is\nno requirement
that the work deal with issues relating to their identity in\nterms of the
four priority communities of the award.\n\n____\n\n\nWHAT THE AWARD INVOL
VES\n\nThe award includes\n\n * Free 24-hour access to a studio space at A
4 Sounds.\n\n * A monthly stipend of €1\,600 towards materials and residen
cy costs (Total\n €8\,000).\n\n * Access to a range of professional deve
lopment\, training and technical\n supports.\n\n * Access to the facilit
ies at A4 Sounds\, including a sculpture workshop\,\n photography darkro
om\, printing suite and equipment.\n\n * Access to all A4 Sounds workshops
and courses for the duration of the\n residency.\n\n * Opportunities to
experiment with ways to disseminate their work in public\n\nThroughout th
e residency\, advice and mentorship will be provided by A4 Sounds\nand our
consulting artists.\n\nNote: this residency does not include accommodatio
n as part of the award.\nHowever\, we can provide a small monthly budget t
owards travel costs.\n\n\nACCESS BUDGET\n\nAn additional access budget is
available for participating artists who may need\nit. We will work with th
e awardee artists individually to discuss any specific\nsupport needs they
may have and endeavor to support them as best we can with the\navailable
budget. Examples of this support include cost of travel support\,\nassisti
ve technology support\, and additional time. \n\nIf known\, please let us

About the awards

onates with the themes of the We Only Want the Earth Programme.
This
award will support two visual artists to research and develop a body of w
ork at the A4 Sounds Studios and to help them further develop their artist
ic practice.
The award will provide the selected artists with
material support and an opportunity to work collaboratively with the curat
orial team to develop their ideas and skills, experiment with materials an
d approaches in making new work, and to deepen their understanding and app
roach to their practice.
Please note: the artist is free to

What the award involves
The award includes
